Well I think most people are trying to represent themselves. My avatar actually does look like me. I usually change the hair to reflect whatever hairstyle I'm wearing. Right now I'm not doing anything fancy to it which is why I just have a plain hair style.

I think that most normal people do... but, lots of gay guys get hot chick avatars to make it seem like they are female. They do this to lure other unsuspecting men into conversations.
