Most 80's songs are good for work-outs. Michael Jackson is pretty good because his music is so upbeat it kind of gets you pumped up!

Ugh don't listen to rap or R&B or any crazy *** pop songs....

Listen to heavy rave, or trance, I do that when I work out and I get into a wierd mood were I forget about being bored and jsut get into my routine. Try not to get into any music with any vocals, it can be distractive, having just a very amusing and mentally engrossing beat can really power you through a routine, especailly once you get more comfortable with it, and you do it repeatedly, and you dont have to think about what you are going to do next.

I'd go with something up tempo like Van Halen, Earth, Wind, And Fire, something that is easy to listen to and you can keep a beat with and keep up with. I wouldn't go for songs like "Cotton Eyed Joe", but I wouldn't go with any slow songs either. Try some classic rock. It's easy to listen to and there are some good songs for working out.
