I have some stretch marks, and I am going on a diet. I was wondering if I lose weight, will my stretch marks shrink? And another thing, if I go and tan at a tanning bed or something, will that make my stretch marks fade at all? Does anyone have any good remedies they use that helps with stretch marks? I heard someone say skin toner but what exactly does that do? I wanna be able to wear a swimming suit and not notice them, any clues on how to keep attention off of them?? sorry for so many questions, please no rude remarks! :} thanks so much!

i don't think tanning will help your stretch marks. if you are dieting try to exercise regularly because that will help shrink the fat cells that cause stretch marks. if you just dieting alone without exercise that not going to help. you'll lose weight just by cutting the the portion of you foods but your body will not be lean. also you tend to gain all that weight faster than you lose. as for your existing stretch marks try cocoa butter or any product that help fade a way stretch marks. get a your local drug stores.

There's really no 100% getting rid of them without surgery or something, but you can use cocoa butter to make them less noticeable. And tanning won't really help, it will just make the skin around them darker and in turn make the stretch marks more noticeable. And really, don't worry too much about them - almost everyone has them, seriously!

Actually, there isn't anything you can do besides surgery that gets RID of stretch marks. Over time, they fade to very pale and are less noticeable though. So if you just got them, they will become less visible.

Tanning may actually make them MORE noticeable, since the stretch marks won't tan at the same rate that the rest of your skin does, so you may look more "stripey."
