Tarantino, it's not common, so don't worry.

My favorite is the Kill Bill series because it accurately incorporates so many styles of film that I enjoy, anime, Hong Kong, samurai, spaghetti western, etc. He is such a crazy and avid fan you know his heart and soul went into these movies.

He has a wonderful way of interlocking characters from one movie to the next that I also love. He has his own "world". And yeah, he wrote the script to True Romance.

True Romance. Hands down. Although I'm not sure how much he was involved in the film. Sometimes they say a Quentin Tarantino film but doesn't mean he produced it or whatever.

Pulp Fiction.

As for True Romance, QT wrote the film, but Tony Scott directed.

all of his movies are excellent. however, there are two stand-outs in my mind. first is pulp fiction. even though it wasn't his first film, it was his breakout movie. it had everything you'd want in a film. a stellar soundtrack, an amazing cast, a love story, random violence...what else could you want? second is kill bill vol. 1. it was his comeback movie and it embraced all the elements that kick-started his career. he has a gift for making fun, quirky movies.

reservoir dogs.

for a debut, it was perfect, foretelling the wonders of pulp fiction et al.

and frankly, natural born killers was excellent too. he just wrote the original story, granted, but you gotta love that concept. okay, you don't gotta, but i did.
