They will love him as thier dad. Once they get into the teenage years they might resent having a parent with mental issues, you will have to deal with that then.

The truth. Recognize it.
In fact, your kids or thier kids might have a higher chance of becoming mental.

But of course, being a little mentle is good for society.
Seriously, half the people out there are a little mental.

If you look at war zones: the crap there probably drives 10% of the people mental.

And most scientists are a bit mentle.

The trick is to turn the mentleness into something positive.

mental problems if properly treated are not a problem and your kids need not be bothered about their dad being mad, mental problems can effect anyone at anytime in their life and it is quite amazing to find out how many people we usually see as normal that have or have had a mental problem, people do judge others but take time to listen to yourself and realise your kids dad is a valued person especially in their eyes.

The kids will love their dad no matter what. Make sure that he does not put them in any harm. Other than that don't worry about it cause you could have a crummy dad and still not all there. Good dads are hard to find. Pray

when your children get old enough to tell them very simply that dad has a problem and try to explain it so they will understand, then they will love their dad in spite of what his problem may happen to be. children are much better at accepting , then some adults are. good luck

Is he going for help, for his problem? Do the two of you go for counseling? I think if he is well supervised, by his doctor, and taking his medicine, he should be okay, Children can adjust to things. Please if you both are not going to a Doctor, or Clinic, please go. This will make both of your lives, more at peace.
