I have 4 warts on one hand and a very very tiny one on the other. I have tried everything. I even heard on the news that duct tape works. It got rid of one however but the others didn't go away. I've even tried acne medication. It made 2 go away but they came back. I've tried that Compound W patches AND freeze off remover...the freeze off remover severly burned my skin. AND THAT COMPOUND W IS CRAP. It doesn't work.

Home remedies do work however...and I wanted to know some more home remedies. If you have any good ones let me know.

Just for the record acne medication has salicylic acid in it and that is a wart medication as well. So if you have warts give that a try.

My family physician said to eat lots of green foods which are high in folic acid or to take a daily folic acid 0.4mg suppliment. It seemed to work for me.

I don't know of any home remedies, but in case you haven't already tried it.... whenever I got warts I used 'bazuka' gel that you can buy over the counter from pharmacies, and that really worked for me (to see bazuka gel: http://www.reachpharmacy.com/shop/customer/product.php?productid=25141).
Maybe you've tried it, but in case not!

My warts actually came back a few times, but I think the bazuka gel was getting rid of the warts quite well, and that I just kept recatching them. I keep my hands well moisturised now, so my skin isn't so dry or cracked, which probably means the warts don't have a way back into my hands, because I haven't had warts for a couple of years!

I also know that in the UK you can go see your doctor and get warts profesionally frozen off, but I've never had that done.

The Best way to treat and cure warts is take the homeopathic remedy THUJA 200C once a week for three weeks and CAUSTICUM 30C thrice a day half hour before meals. These will make the old ones fall off and these will save you from recurring warts in future.
Take Care and God Bless !

I use 1/2 oz of olive oil and add 15 drops lemon essential oil and 15 drops thyme essential oil. Use a dropper and apply to the warts. Try to keep it off the surrounding skin because the thyme can burn. Apply it in the morning and evenings. I have seen this work within a week on more than one occasion.

I had a nasty one on my right hand. I went to a doctor and he put some extract from a beetle. It then sweld up the wart, filled up with liquid and when I poped it (actually shook someone's hand and it poped from that) it dried up and never came back without any scar.

Talk to your doctor and ask them about this. They also tried liquid nitrogen to freeze it. It worked for me sometimes on other warts that I had. Haven't had any in a long time.

Good luck!!

I've read again and again that there is no cure for warts. They come uninvited and leave unannounced. Some home remedies are thought to be effective because the wart just decided to go away at that time. But hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Have you tried burying a shiny copper penny under the roots of an oak tree at the new moon? ;-)
