Usually ends up being a new species or either gorilla or bear mainly. The skunk-ape was Bigfoot for longest time before a few photos were taken of it. They still have trouble finding it to photograph it. I don't think there is a intelligent ape species running around the USA because even the smartest creature couldn't avoid us for this long.

I believe unequivocally they Sasquatch(Bigfoot) exists. A gorilla however is not likely as there is no documented proof of any great apes on this continent, in any historical period. To remain as hidden as he has for so long shows an extremely high degree of adaptation and intelligence, something also not common in the great apes. Other than sheer speculation, no one has any idea what it might be other than some form of Homo Erectus or Homo Neanderthalensis, neither of which is part of the Homo Sapiens family tree..

There is something called Dog Man in Michigan and every year the people get together to hunt him... no one has ever come back from the hunts, to my knowledge, having seen him. You see, I think if we really did see something like big foot, we would not live to see it, unless we were in Harry and the Hendersons...

It is in Texas my Ex husband married her! Really I don't know how you feel about Sylvia Browne, but she has a pretty good explanation on Big Foot and the Loch Ness.

Some earlier branch of humanity, maybe from the neanderthal side due to his greater size.

I think its an experiment that escaped from a laboratory and they are too ashamed to admit it. Maybe they let loose a second one to see if it mated and it did. These sightings are cropping up everywhere......

I love the idea of Bigfoot and really wish he were real! However, I think he's just people's imaginations.
