I bought about 27 of them from different sources. Within the span of 3 years they all died . I tried everything from adding food to replacing the water with spring water weekly and they all died except a coworker who has one of the ones i gave her. Hers has been growing since the day she got it. Not fair.

Bamboo plants need clean (or purified) water and the container needs to be full of water all of the time.
My bamboo plant is two years old.
If it starts to turn yellow it may be too late.
I do not believe plant food is even good for them.

Also, like any plant, make sure it is not in the path of recirculated air.

Well, maybe you had it set in the sun or in a hot room temperature. I had a huge bamboo plant and it last for a long time. You metion that you water your plant weekly, my suggestion is to water your plant everyday with drinking water and put drops of food vitamin once every two days. They sell it in the 99 cent stores or where they sell natural water by the gallons. If that doesn't work then ask someone from the plant nursery for advice. Good luck.

maybe you over you don't change the water regularly. if you talking about the house plant, like the one i have. since the beginning, i have to use drinking water to keep it from turning brown and die down. bamboo tree grow best in a cool room temperature. if none of those help, maybe you just don't have the green thumb.

Did you try planting it in alittle dirt? I tried 2 in alittle dirt and they like it. I just did cover the roots. I have 2 that loves to be in a south window. And a bundle of 3 sizes in the north room of my house and they both look great . Where did you have them in your house? Maybe you can get some more and try them again? Keep trying don't give up. Good luck.

Perhaps you had a party and someone emptied out their drinks in the plant. A lot of people do not realize that alchohol kills.

You more than likely overwatered it. Bamboo will grow very quickly, but will die very quickly if overwatered.
