I went there as an exchange student when I was still in High School. I stayed at a place called Mar del Plata. I had fun...the food was wonderful (lots of meat) and my overall impression was a good one.

Only thing I didn't like is that I stayed with a family who made a lot of comments about black people. I was really not ok with that especially because my adopted brother is black and I made sure to tell them that. After that...I never heard another comment!

I don't know if all Argentinians feel that way...so I won't judge.

Are you from there?

Full of political unrest. Politically its an unstable nation. It has incredible natural resources which have not been managed in a way to support the people as they should have been. Its a nation with two classes, rich and poor. Quite a beautiful place though, they have just never had a truly democratic system to keep them on a stable course.
