Why do people live in California that's prone to earth quakes, or tornado alley that's prone to the obvious tornadoes? What about places that are prone to flash floods...
I suppose you are perfect..you have no flaws..you must be the epitome of perfection - correct?

Hurricanes only strike once in a while. The weather the rest of the time is beautiful. I would undure the bad weather for the beauty the rest of the time. I do agree with you about the moving part; there is no such thing as "to poor to move". People just didn't believe that the big "K" would actually hit, but it seems to me that just as many people not on "the take" were affected by the storm.

First of all, being poor is NOT polio. It is not something that there is some kind of vaccine for! I'm not exactly poor, but I am nowhere CLOSE to being "upper-middle-class". And secondly, some people don't own cars! GASP! I know, it's so incredibly hard to believe, isn't it? What were they supposed to do, WALK from New Orleans to somewhere that Katrina missed?! You either don't watch the news, don't pay enough attention to the news, or are just an idiot for even asking this question!

You assume too much. And obviously speaking of US "poor" people. But you fail to see those from the Dominican republic, Cuba, Africa, and south America. They're REALLY poor and NO ONE gives them **** like well fare or such. As simple as moving? where to? Some of those people are not even allowed to move. Or do you forget Cubans are forbidden to leave their land unless it's on vacations, and to make sure they'll return, their staying families get threatened to death? And to have a VISA, they HAVE to be wealthy enough to afford it. Besides, the solution is not moving, but constructing better houses. Florida, Dominican Republic, and many of those places have their houses build up out of wood. Concrete is the only way to survive on a hurricane-infested place. IN Puerto Rico for example, the only houses that suffered were those made of wood. But then again, we are a colony of the US, therefore we can afford progress. And I don't know why are you ranting so much about hurricanes when tornadoes are far worse since they're small enough to concentrate on a specific area. The devastation is even worse, believe me. So, to sum it up, I think is very ignorant from your part to generalize and rant on people for their status vs YOUR personal reality. Instruct yourself better before you post a baseless comment like this one again. Thank you!

Their idiots-they are only asking for the inevitable-and then they want sympathy-and naive idiots give it to them, feed into their crap. It's just all relative in the bull shiit game. Then you give them money and they spend it on useless shiit like alcohols and strippers-aka-Katrina, and then they cry out for mercy and want more? I'm raising the BS flag on this one and I sure as hell don't feel sorry for them. I have always asked myself the same exact damn question, in chemistry class we learned why there are mud falls and why people shouldn't live where the land is lower than sea level and the people are aware of this before they built their homes there, and they what do these fcuks do? they go and have a house built their anyway, and then the inevitable happens.

Is it wrong to like where you live? If everyone moves out of an area where natural disasters occur on a regular basis, how would that affect our economy? Lets say everyone moves out of florida- Now we are paying 5 times the price for orange juice simply because we have to import them from mexico.

Because tropical areas are very pleasant to live in when there is not a hurricane. A better question is why do people live where tornadoes form? There's nothing in Kansas except flat land and bland food.

So where exactly are people going to live? There are earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, blizzards, ice storms, tsunamis, droughts, and every other conceivable weather phenomenon happening everywhere! Dumbass.
Watch out folks, this stand-up guy can't take it when we point out the folly of his question. He's sure to message you and insult your mothers!

Yes we should all move to California and worry about earthquakes, the mid-west and worry about tornadoes, out west and worry about grass fires, hey what about New York City and worry about terrorist. I have a better idea why don't we all move to the city where you are and maybe you would not have that lucrative job you have now because one of us would be better qualified.
