I'm going to buck the trend here and say it's a GOOD move.
Hey, Art Shell can flat out coach. If there's any coach in the NFL a guy like George is going to respect and play for it's an old-school guy like Shell.
But look. Signing this late doesn't mean anything. He won't have a grasp of the playbook, offense or personal before week 3 at the earliest.
But, he's not a bad insurance policy if something goes wrong with Brooks!

I purely herd about this! i'm taken aback! I were a Raider fan when you think about that they back to Oakland. I hated Jeff George. He threw way too many interceptions. We booed him many circumstances at video games. Raider followers is purely now not satisfied. Tuiasosopo is a goner. i'm taken aback we've not %. up Vince Evans. he's the perfect age for a Raider. i'm not particular if he has a criminal record or now not, yet even as he does, he grew to develop into into born a Raider!

He had the skills to play QB but didn't have the right mind set. I don't think you can be out of football a couple years and then pick up a football and be good. They would have been better off signing Ryan Leaf.

I would rather have Matt Leinart or Kerry Collins as a back up to sorry Aaron Brooks...... The Raiders were stupid for not picking Leinart!!!

I can't imagine why they signed him. He'll probably never throw a pass for them in a game, unless Brooks and Walter both go down with injuries.

He is not a bad backup but, I am not sure he can hold up over a full year as a starter.

I don't think they should have signed him because he's too old and won't contribute to the team.
