Just go on the sick, say its stress,no doctor can tell you that you are not suffering from stress and it will keep your records right for your employment record !

If you left now, they might not give you a good reference if you ever decided to switch jobs again. Usually 2 weeks notice is sufficient but since you did state 4 I would try to stick it out. Just keep your chin up and realize you will never have to work there again.

Depends on who you work for. If you were required to give 4 weeks' notice, then you may lose pay, face, and some personal pride. Stick it out if you can.

If you were required to give less than 4 weeks' notice, then let your superiors know of your plan as soon as you make one.

Try to stick it out but if you are being victimised in some way by your employer you might have a claim against your employer for constructive dismissal. Speak to a solicitor or citizens advice as this type of dismissal is difficult to prove. It might be possible to leave earlier if your current employer agrees. That way there will not be a breach of your contract of employment. Either way good luck.

you would lose the weeks pay and any holiday pay you are entitled to. from april you will have accrued a day and a half for each completed month, minus any that you have taken. ask if you can take the last week as holiday or ring in sick it is self certified for the first week anyway.

Don't let them beat you down - it's a week, nothing really. Yes they could say you've broken terms of contract if you leave early. Resist sick leave - many new employers want to know your sick leave record. Stick it out. Then leave with head held high and invite those you like to a last day drink.

You are going to have to face many difficult situations in your life, bite the bullet and put up with it - you might learn something about yourself. Which is better than feeling like a loser in a few weeks for letting them get the better of you.

you need to check your contract, they could hold your wk/mth wage in advance untill they sort out your p45.also they might not write you a refrence for another job that u apply 4.all you have to think is you will b out of there soon and the money you earn in the last wk could make a difference if your next job u have to work a mt in advance.......

Well first, nice job in giving 4 weeks notice. Not many people would do that. But, since you've done that I think you should honor your word and finish your time. Not many people would do that either, so you're rare in my book.
