Well, if you read my post you will know what I am talking about... what happened to my grandmothe was really bad.
I would like to say that in fact not all americans are racist and disrespectful. I read many nice responses and I would like to thank those ones for understanding my feeling and situation, I really appreciate that and those showed values and honesty. but unfortunately, most of the replies were just giving confirmation about how disrespecful and racist most americans can be, low human quality (I am not talking about all Amercins). Many replies were in fact racist and rude about a true fact, something real that is happening everyday. I understand that you have laws, but you also should know differences about real criminals and a misunderstanding. I mean I am not the only one who thinks this way.
To the truly racist and disrespectful and ego selfish people out there... I am truly sorry for you for the path you have chossen in life.
Thanks again to the nice and honest ones!!!

I went back to read the initial scenario as this is the first that I have heard about your grandmother....And, I completely agree that there are many many many haughty, self-righteous, nasty spirited people living in the US. I am ashamed of this behavior and I completely agree with you that they are on a wrong path.....Sad thing is, that many of these people who act like this call themselves Christians and do it in the name of Christ...sickening.

Sorry about you grandmother...I hope she is well after such an assault.

The definition of racism is as follows:

a. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

b. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

I do not even know what race you are, only that you cannot spell in English. However, as an American with French Ancestry, I would like to apologize to you, on behalf all Americans, for the insensitive people with whom you have come in contact. I, personally, was not raised as a racist, and have been called a "Frog", myself. There is no accounting for the actions of some people. I cannot explain it. However, I do not believe that all Americans should be damned. That would be racist, would it not?

Why does everyone talk about American racism? What about the racist everywhere in the world? I mean I don't hear people complaining about how the Austalians treat and talk about the Aberigenies, How about those Muslims that want all Jews dead? Let's not forget the riots in France earlier this year...The fact is, as I see it, America does not have a racism problem...The world does, so get over it.

In response to your question: I read what happened to your grandmother.
She was in violation of her visa. There are procedures that must be followed and consequences. She knew she was in violation, if she reported herself and explained the situation, then she would have been treated with more respect. She behaved like a criminal by acting as if our laws and regulations don't apply to her.

We do our best to treat everyone equally. Your grandmother is not exempt from the law, just because she is 85.

Please don't put me in that group of people, I'm a long way from being a racist and detest those who are. I don't know what happened to your grandmother, but whatever it was, i'm sorry. It's bit strong for you to say "americans" instead of saying "some americans". I can't be racist anyway, I in love with a with woman.
