Id be on the internet. I havn't watched TV for 5 years (aside from watching it at school). I get everything I need to know on the internet that I would have known on TV.

Personally, I don't have cable. I had it once for a few months at my dads, but beyond that, I've lived my life basically cable deprived.

I still watch too much TV- only I've learned to settle on the basic channel shows. It's not that bad. And I spend a lot of time online. If I got cable, oh man, I don't think I'd ever put the remote down.

We've just had cable since mid-May, and it was only for a six month special offer; it's too expensive so when the time is up, it will be gone. My son is 14 and has grown up without cable, and he's alive and well and funky and well-adjusted, smart to the max. I'm the one who will miss it most when it's gone, but we'll only be able to afford the internet, which is more important since my son needs it for school.

I got rid of cable TV in 2000 and my life has gotten significantly better. I have to do something to get information. I spend less time in the house. I get more exercise.

I READ the news instead of paying half-attention to a talking head.

I don't want to get cable again unless I'm housebound and crippled.

I don't think it would be that much different. I am too busy in school to watch TV and prefer to watch movies anyway. There are a few good channels I do watch when I have time but don't miss TV at all.

life without cable worked out well, I became less dependent on watching stupid shows, just to watch.

boring.
currently we are without satelite. we cannot get the basic stations. we get shopping channels and Christian Channels. I am a Christian and am blessed by it; but I do like watching other shows that are family oriented as well. I miss my satellite...
