Hurricanes are SUPER rare... i thought we never had one, but there was one in San Diego a Loooong time ago.

The 1858 San Diego Hurricane was a very rare California hurricane. It is the only known tropical cyclone to impact California as a hurricane, although other systems impacted California as tropical storms

It is quite possible, Living for 30 odd years is not sufficient. According to the saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Close to the last day, the hurricane and earhtquakes will become very frequent. So its quite, quite possible. It is better if the Californians repent to the God and stop taking others god beside the One and OnlY God Who created all of us and to Whom we shall all return

They can, I don't think it is as prominent as in the Atlantic, but I have been noticing that the Pacific Hurricanes this season has been very active.

hurricanes do form in the pacific in fact theres a hurricane in the pacific right now

I guess with mother nature anything is possible but I really don't think so.
