i spend my money on a need basis first and then a want if i can afford it. i spend my extra money on food and candy and sometimes clothes. i do it because i like eating and i like looking good.

I spend because I can. It is no competition with anyone. Sometimes for needs, but mostly for wants. I like to keep up my appearance and that requires spending!

Your question makes very little sense. The first part needs an object for the verb 'spend', so that people will know what you're spending (time, money, energy, whatever).
