I really want to be involved in clubs/sports. I don't think I am good enough for any sport, but I think I could try indoor track and outdoor track. Should I?

But also, I want to either join a club or start my own. I could either join SADD, stage crew, or other clubs.

i kind of want to start a Foreign Film Club at school too. Or if anyone has a different idea? Please?

Thanks!

Take my advice and join a club as fast as you can! I'm a high school junior and I haven't joined any clubs which is bad. I applied for National Honors Society (NHS) But, I doubt I'll get accepted... I might just joing Spanish Club in a month or so. It is very good for your transcripts and records. JOIN! Join something that you might actually like.... If you like track join that and if you like a foreign language I strongly recommend it... My friend says Spanish clubs are really fun.... And, if you have a lot of time on your hands.. I suggest you joing 2 clubs or 1 club and 1 activity....

One more thing, I don't know what grade you are in...But, you should begin doing voluntary work...Do a couple of hours in a hospital (red cross, VA hospital) - I hopefully will be volunteering 8 hours at Jefferson Barracks VA hospital in STL missouri, also you can try universities and other colleges .... go luck!

you have some great ideas there! Go for them! It's great to be involved - and a great way to make friends.

Don't be afraid to try out anyway - let the coaches/judges decide. SOmetimes a good coachable attitude is worth more than anything. And if you are a freshmen, if you try out and don't make it - they may tell you what you need to work on so you can make it in 10, 11 and 12th grades ....so you can work on it!

You are right, stage crew - parts in the school play , ping-pong club, SADD, or starting your own club is great, too. You may consider starting a club called Share and Care which you could do service projects for needy people in your community on behalf of your school. Good luck this school year!

When your looking at admission form that have half a page of lines under what extracurricular did you particulate it makes filling it out much easier to have as many as possible. When it comes to quality talk to guidance counselor to find out which ones will help you most in your future plans. Being able to say you started and managed cub would be big plus.
