Well even though I love my pets, I would choose the human. I think that all living things have the right to live and thrive, but I would like for someone else to make that sacrafice for me if faced with that kind of a choice. I'll do to others as I'd like them do to me. If you have the choice and chance to save a human being and you don't I think it's the same as murder by choice. That is only my opinion. :-)

The person, it really doesn't matter is I know them or not, they are still a human being and deserve the same right to live as you & I. They are of more value than any animal, and that is not saying I don't love animals, I just think the person should come first. Have a nice day.

Dunno, sadly.
My kitty just died. It hurts soooo bad. I'm wondering why kitty's death is impacting me in such ways. Dunno.
If kitty were alive, and I had to pick now knowing how hard it is to live without kitty, dunno. I would like it to be the unknown person, but dunno, kitty was pure love and didn't do anything bad. His worst crime was killing bugs --- we never let him outside, so I know he couldn't have killed more than a bug --- and he was soooooo loving ... like that unconditional love I hear about in Corinthians --- Love is patient and kind, never jealous, never boastful or conceited, never rude or selfish, doesn't take offense and isn't resentful ... that was my beloved kitty cat < sniff - tear - sniff --- whaaaaa --- breath>
Struggling in my brain is that humans are better than animals ... I know I should value human life more, but it seems so hard to get perfect love from humans --- dunno --- I guess humans create the love within the pet so that a pets love is really the reflection of the humans love, and that thought would probably jolt me to save the human ... providing I had enough time to reason with myself.

Honestly, I would probably save my pet if I were just acting on instinct, and if the person I didn't know was an adult, not a child.
If I had time to think about it, I'd have to let my beloved little pet go, but I would be devastated. (It makes me sad just thinking about it!)
