If you lost it, that is your problem. Stop being a crybaby. Her parents should just boot your sorry butt right out the door. This sort of thing is not covered by insurance because there is an exclusion for "contributory negligence" so you will have to pay for it yourself. If you get the other one you will probably just lose that too, so until you learn to take better care of your things I don't feel the least bit sorry for you. This is all your fault, no one else's.

Sorry, that family is all used up. You can try the insurance Company, but I think your best bet is to just start over and find another fresh family to mess with.

I would`nt go through the insurance company. Your rates will go up and you`ll probably have to pay a deductible.

go to her parents for subsitute. it will come from the same place so it will be a close subsitute and you can even pick her up in your lap.
