After conception, how soon do the breasts begin to hurt? I had my period beginning on July 31, and breast tenderness /pain beginning on August 16th or so until the present. My cycle runs every 28-32 days. I have had breast tenderness before and not been pregnant, but this is the first time it has lasted this long.

It's still kind of early to tell if you're pregnant. Are you having any other symptoms, such as frequent urination or excessive fatigue? You should be having another period soon if you're not pregnant. If you miss this period, then it's a good idea to either see your gyno or get one of those drugstore kits. But breast tenderness is not always a sign of pregnancy. Other things can cause it, so if you're not pregnant and it continues, I'd still see a doc.
