This is a popular question here on Yahoo Questions, I see it at least once a week.
It must be a biology question in grammar school.
Here are all the times it's been asked and answered.

Depends. We would have to accurately ascertain the average percentage of dark stripage to white stripage. Then we may (or may not) be able to state, according to the law of avarages, whether the greater percentage of one type to the next meant that this was the predominant colour and, therefore, deduce that the other colour was the auxilliary, or additional colour.
Ergo, if the greater percentage was white then the zebra would, indeed, be white with black stripes (or vice versa).
Alternately, you could get a f.U.c.King life and stop asking ridiculous questions that occur to you late at night and you can no longer bear to think about the crushing fact that no-one will sleep with you!

White with black stripes, you can see it by looking at their belly... it's white! all zebra's have different patterns of stripes to, not one has the same pattern as the next.

white with black stripes. Because if were balck with white stripes the white stripes would look more brown then white. Then would they still be called zebras if they were balck with brown stripes?
