Some insurance company's won't take a NEW person if they have serious health problems such as cancer that would require Chemo. It's sad...but true. So, put that aside, and if you don't have any really serious health problems, then they shouldn't be able to deny you coverage. The insurance is through his employer right? Call the Insurance company and ask them why there not going to cover you? And if they give you some bs excuse tell them your going to contact a lawyer (just to scare em'-it's funny and plus, they might change there tune if you say that.)

If it is an private policy--believe me there is a reason that they're denying you--call and ask! If its a group plan--no, they can't!
