Acne is caused when the hair follicles in your skin get blocked. No one knows precisely why these blockages occur, nor why they are more severe in some people than in others, even in different members of the same family. It also is not known why acne commonly first occurs after puberty, although the sebaceous glands grow considerably at this time, which could be a factor. The oil produced by hair follicles, called sebum, is normally beneficial because it helps prevent the skin from drying and limits skin infections. But when sebum can't drain, it builds up and actually becomes a culture medium for bacteria.

A sebaceous gland produces oil (sebum), which combines with dead skin cells and creates a plug in the pore. When bacteria gets trapped underneath the plug, the pore becomes inflamed and a pimple is formed.
Sebaceous glands become more active during periods of elevated hormone activity. Other triggers of acne include improper skin care, food allergies and sensitivities, and vitamin imbalance. Acne can also be aggravated by climate, particularly heat and humidity (which promote bacterial development), irritants in personal care products, and also stress.

The best means of prevention is to maintain a proper skin care regimen that includes regular use of masks and exfoliants. Masks are essential to clean pores while exfoliants will slough off dead skin cells resting on skin’s surface. Use products that will effectively control oil production, while maintaining a healthy level of hydration. Be careful to not over-dry the surface, as this can promote further breakouts.

Pimples happen because your face is filled with holes,or pores. These pores have glands that make oil to moisten the skin. Most of the time the pores are fine, but sometimes they might get clogged up with too much oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Pimples are just one type of acne. There are also blackheads, whiteheads, and cysts. Ane also comes with puberty and the changing of hormone. There are ways to help keep the pimples away. A pimple grows when a pore becomes clogged with dead skin cells and dirt. The body's natural response takes over casusing redness and swelling. If the infection is bad, pus develops and there you have a pimple.

pimple grows for many reasons: puberty, stress, bacteria, lack of washing your face, touching your face all the time. Not drinking enough water is also a reason. That is why you should drink up and keep hydrated with water. hope i could help!
