do people make too much of a big deal of what they wear?

Most definitely. While I like seeing people dressed in clothes that flatter them, I don't like the collective conformity bit. Honestly, some fashions, in every decade, are just crap. Sometimes I look at what someone's wearing and think "what gave them the idea that that looks good?" Why do people expect everyone to wear something ugly just to be in style? Because of this kind of mentality, clothing is far more expensive than it should be.

People do make a big deal on what they wear, but its totally not over rated! People just really care about wha tthey look like, and what others will think about them. But not over rated...

Yes, they do.
But I have to admit,, I really like to dress up now and then.
Nice suit, Italian shoes, expensive Cologne.
But most of the time I am a jeans combat boots t-shirt sort of guy. Kind of rough and tumble.

Personally, I think watching the fashion trends is fun, though I'm the type of person who wears mostly classic pieces. That makes it easier to make your style your own and you don't have to change your entire wardrobe everytime the styles change.

Yes. However I figure, life is short. And I'd rather waste this life obsessing about fashion than worring so much about music or whatever. However, that doesn't mean I don't care about other things.

I don't think so. Fashion is fun, interesting, creative, and artistic. For example, would you say that being a fashion major is less important than being an art major? I certainly don't see how- fashion can be very artsy- it's art that you wear!

yes. everyone is always so worried about their looks. they can never be unique but follow the latest trends, the trends that the popular people wear.. they should just throw on something out of style and be themselves, and not be what everyone is.

Yes, they do. People, wear anything that YOU like, not what fashion magazines say. Unless you like something in the fashion magazines. But you shouldn't buy everything people say is hot. Like I wouldn't buy a skirt because its considered hot and popular if I don't like it. Actually I don't like any skirts, and no one can make me wear one.
