Hi, i know how you feel im 21, my partner is in the army and in Iraq, he went in April came back for his R+R in june and now wont be back til beg November, ive been going crazy, like you all my mates are married have kids etc, its hard just keep going.
I found a site called 'ebluey' if you type that in on google you get a site where you can send lettters to your man they get typed and delivered within a day,(better than 2 weeks!!) Do you get to speak to him? The first couple of weeks are the hardest but it gets easier, you will have good days and there will be sad ones too.
How old are you? if you wana chat leave me your email address xxx

You should not be lost without any man. People come and people go so if you are lost w/o him what will you do if you break up? Anyway, while he is away you can: enjoy your time until he comes home:learn to cook his favorite dishes; take some classes; get a part time job (make money since you don't have anything else to do); take a belly dancing class or seductive dance class (so you can seduce him when he comes home); work out so you will be in shape when he comes home (he's gonna want it often, so you have to be able to keep up); spend time with family. There is a lot you can do..have fun! It's only been two weeks...so you need to get started so you don't become depressed.

Go out and get a hobby, meet new friends. He will be missing you too. Believe me I just been through this twice. When my daughter went into the navy, her boyfriend was the same. He has now gone into the army, and since she has come out of the navy, the shoe is on the other foot. It will settle down, you have to give it time to readjust to the circumstances. But it's a natural reaction. It will get better.

It's not an easy thing to go through, I went through it myself for 10 months when my boyfriend was in Iraq. I found the best thing was to try and keep active, don't sit for long periods of time doing nothing, you'll only depress yourself. Find a hobby you can take up to keep your mind off him during the day.
Night time is always the worst, it's not easy to get your mind off it, you would be better sitting in bed and writing letters to him telling him how you are and what you've been up to. Even if you never send them but keep them till he gets back it still helps you to feel more like he is still a part of your life.
I hope this advise helps, it's not much but it helped me out.

I know how you feel my boyfriend just went into the army and I miss him so much!! you just have to keep busy and wait till the time goes by, and dont worry it will go faster than you think. Just keep busy do things around the house, talk to your friends and make a day to hang out and you can make new friends!! Good luck!!

take a class, learn a new language, a cooking or baking class, exercise set a goal for yourself (10 pounds by xmas, or run 3 miles by xmas, or learn to cook a 3course meal by xmas) use this time to concentrate on you only, make it a girls time. You will really apprecitate it when he comes home, and I am sure he will be able to notice a difference in you, always good for a relationship.

The army has support groups for spouses and parents. Check with the local army base to find more info.

Go hang out with the girls, and have girls night out!!! You'll have fun, and get him off your mind for a little bit. Do something a couple of nights a week with friends. That way you'll keep your sanity!
