probably of the traditional diet and I guess the hot weather in the summer may keep many to exercise. But that's not to say it has to stay that way always.

Because it's less expensive to buy and cook fattier foods than it is healthier foods.
Bell peppers-$.50-$1 each.
Ramen soup- $.10 per packet.
Most of the state lives in poverty.

1) Great Southern style cooking
2) Genetics
3) Those Genetic eating that wonderful food.
It is very hard to wean oneself off those rich high fat foods & way of cooking. Plus the vicious cycle of eating to high calories, not feeling well, so not exercising.

Most people in Mississippi are skinny, is just that they were doing a total weight average. Your mom lives there, and she weighs about 80,000 pounds, so it made everyone seem equally fat on paper.

because they eat mcdonalds and the most junkfood and the most fattest foods everyday i think. i dont know i didnt know that. im just guessingg since u say they have highest level of obesity i never been there so i dont know.

Fried foods. You see this in New Orleans as well. They fry fish. They fry oysters.They fry shrimp. They fry crabs and if they don't do that then everything is covered in a gravy type sauce.
