You are right about that, it is a scary thought, but if you think of it, every generation will say the same thing, how bad things are, my parents said it, your parents also, but time still passes and so does the years and next thing you know, you are 80 years old., so you cannot stop your life and not have children because you are scared of society... Society is bad depending where you are and what you made of yourself... Do you think that a professional woman, with a great husband and money and not struggling and living in a great house, is asking herself that question????? Of course not, because she knows that she is bringing her kids into a very good society., one where all that child needs is a good education to become a professional because he/she will not be missing or needing anything.... So, it all depends why you think it is worse, not everyone is in a bad situation and they can afford to have children and they are able to provide a very healthy environment for their kids...

I'm 31 and have 3 kids too. I wanted to have kids. I have wanted kids my whole life.

Society sucks, so I'm raising my kids to know that they can come to me with anything. I'm very open minded, and I hope I can raise my kids to be the same.

per chance not "extra constructive" in accordance to say, yet per chance extra non violent and relaxing. obviously it may be incredible if lets relive the 50's values with immediately's tolerance of variety. I swear, each in certain situations i imagine i became reincarnated from someone of that element because growing up, exceptionally as an adolescent, I held an excellent type of the values from that era. i'm 26 now, and pregnant with my first. i am going to attempt extremely not ordinary to en nevertheless good values in my toddlers. I also grew up in a city kinda pf like Beaver's and purely moved back in April....it really is going to be large elevating my childrens in a small(ish) all the way down to earth city.

If nothing good comes into the world. Everything bad will take over. Raising children leaves hope that one day, society will be better for all!

i think that having kids is a way to put goodness back in the world. if you see how messed up society is, hopefully you will work extra-hard to raise kids who will be an asset to society, rather than just being part of the problem.

good luck!

Maybe people back in the day saw it the way you do. Does that mean we should not be here now? Every kid deserves a chance, and adults deserve the chance to have kids. Not everyone is fit for it, but it is life.

It's not that i want to raise my children in today's society. My husband and I wanted children, to share in the joys they would bring.

Today's society is something that you have to "deal with" as part of having children. Some choose not to have children bcause of where we are today; but for my husband and I, it didn't deter us. We just have to make sure to learn how to face today's challenges, and prepare our children as best we can to function well when they are grown.

I really don't think that most people think about that before they breed. If people really thought about and understood the onerous task of raising a responsible child to adulthood, they would never do it.

I would like kids one day =)

Plus, if we all waited to society to brighten up, we would become dangerously under populated.
