For spyware, there is Spybot. For adware there is Ad-Aware. Also, if you are looking for a good free antivirus software, check into Avast. All of the above programs are free.

Well, sounds like you need more than just adware/spyware detection and removal -- Trojans are usually viruses/worms, which means you need a good Anti-virus program, too.
As far as Adware, I have used "Ad-Aware" to great effect.
For Spyware, I've used both "Spybot - Search & Destroy" (free), and SpySweeper (there is a free version, but you can't get updates without buying in).
For Viruses, I've used Norton Anti-Virus, McAfee Anti-Virus, and Windows Defender. Windows Defender is the only freebie there.
Good luck!

I reckon (when you're operating Vista and in no way XP believe me from journey) that the great is Norton Antivirus (the full kit). I have had it now for about 3 months and it rocks because it also protects you when you're surfing on the 'internet. in case you click on an risky website it kicks in formerly internet Explorer can and tells you that the region you attempt to visit is on their documents as being risky, it nevertheless helps you to proceed yet a minimum of it warns you. It also immediately scans the discs that you connect on your computer or perhaps CD/DVD media that you position contained in the force/s.

I would use Windows Defender. It's free and will protect you from getting more spyware in the future. Not perfect, but free.
