It should cost anywhere from 20-40 dollars. It should be on your left side for a girl.

Highly offended by the 'look like a skank' comment...
Nose rings can be very tasteful if worn right! A small diamond stud is simple and not gaudy. As for what side, I have the left side done. Its quite possibly the only piercing my mother actually likes on me.

The side doesn't matter at all...pick the side that you think looks best and feels the most natural.
Depending on the place, you can pay anywhere from $25-60
Don't shop for price, the cheapest place isn't likely to have as sanitary conditions as a pricier place (they gotta pay for the equipment donchaknow). Trust me, it pays off BIG TIME.

Wear it on what ever side you want to. If you feel like the drive, in Slidell LA there is a tattoo shop called The Laboratory. The piercers there are Shane, and Fred(the owner). It is a very clean and sanatary shop and they are very personable.

Don't get a nose ring - the stud looks like a pimple... and those rings make you look like a bull from a cartoon...
Get your eyebrow done - right side..
