Greece!!!

I have both Greek and Italian back round. Both places are
great to visit. Both places a gorgeous but Italy probably a little
bit prettier and certainly quite a bit more first class type accommodations than Greece. Italy will be more expensive in
the long run. On the other hand you're more likely to do a lot
of island hopping, and nightlife in Greece. Beaches tend to
be closer to your hotel or apartment when on the Greek islands
and so are the taverns. Italy is more western in character. Personally I've spent months and months in Greece as opposed
to days in Italy. But with the right company you will have a
great time in both countries. If you've got a lot of money do
Italy first. When you've got more time on your hands and are
not rushing to get back home spend a lot of time in Greece.

Well,i won't give a clear answer because i have never gone in Italy.I'm from Greece and i'd like to say that Greece isn't only the Greek Islands. If you travel all over Greece you'll find out that Greece has places and landscapes that you could never imagine.Furthermore,Greece isn't only for summer holidays as there are places like Mount Pilio,Mount Olympus,Arahova (on mount Parnassos).

Also,i feel that is my duty to suggest that you visit Nafplion as it's my birthtown. In Nafplion you'll feel like being in Italy as most of the town was built by Venetians during the 17th century.Nafplion was the first capital of Greece between 1823 and 1827 and you won't regret going there.

I think overall Italy is more physically beautiful, but really I enjoy both places. There's a lot of history to see in both places. In general the people are about equally welcoming. Whether you prefer one cuisine or another is a personal choice.

If you do go to Greece, you may find that the best places to visit are the Islands around it.
Lesbos is particularly beautiful.

For myself, I love Sicily. But that's because I have family there, and I love the fact that it is unconnected to the mainland.

Greece is a number of white blocks that look like previous lavatory booths, the Greek human beings are very bushy, portly and unattractive people who look like they got here from Turkey, the meals is usually greasy and that they have a superiority complicated next to international locations which incorporate Italy and Britain. Italy is vastly stronger, cleanser and much extra effective delicacies, extra assorted too. Greece does have some nice issues, like all u . s . inspite of the undeniable fact that it truly is hardly rated for a reason, it truly is not that solid.

Depends on what you want to see and experience.

Italy has so many beautiful sites to show of; it is however very busy with Italians (no more Romans) that do not care about authenticity & tourists. Highheaded Europeans in a modern state.

Greece has even more and older touristical sites to offer in a wide country with so many differences in landscapes and traditions. Greeks are quiet and on a distance; they have their own way of handling modern age, but still in an authentic & pleasant way. So if holidays for you mean, moving from one crowdy and busy country, choose Italy. If however you want to see, feel, smell and eat like the Gods.. make sure you go for Greece.
You will love it..
