Beyond all material manifestations is Brahman, the limitless effulgence of the Supreme. This is the 'white light' often spoken about by those with some spiritual advancement. It is the aura of God. This is the first step in spiritual realization and this realization brings freedom from all misery. But it is not the positive spiritual pleasure we are hankering for. That is only available by pleasing the Lord Himself in devotional service.

What lies beyond is undescribable by words. If it were a feeling it would be ecstasy. If it were a color it would be blinding. If it were a song it would be warm and inviting. It it were sex it would be orgasmic :)

well, i'd say that oblivion lies beyond everything. because everyone handles or tolerates something till a certain extent, then they oppose it, and finally, they just stop noticing it. anything would go to its greatest extent, and then fade into oblivion.
