Does anyone seriously believe he can be effective with his "reckless" style that just happened to work in the mid 90's?

The Packers are in a rebuilding stage right now and Favre needs to step away and let that happen. They have a new coach, a new system, two rookie starters on the offensive line and rookie wide reciever talent. This is a good chance for Aaron Rogers to get in there and grow with the rest of this team. The way Favre plays just doesn't work in today's NFL. Especially when you are in a rebuilding mode.

Well, I am far from a cheese-head, but if your a football fan you gotta love Brett Favre...(stright outta my Madden Almanac) But seriously, The question is not what happened to Brett Favre the question is what happened to the Pack? He's pretty much the only one left from the SuperBowl years...His Supportng cast is depleted, his coach went to Seatle...So on and so forth...I was hoping that Brett would have been traded and got to get a fresh start with a contending team...Brett can still throw the ball...but he needs an O-line and someone other than Driver to throw to...Give him a break he's one of the most exciting QB's to ever play the game.

JoBu feels for Mr. Favre. Ever since he kicked the pain killers habit he has not been the same. He has lost some of his supporting cast as well. If the O-line can just pick it up and Ahman Green can return to form, they can be a sleeper, but I will not put my rum on it.

He's gotten older, and his style hasn't kept up with his ability anymore. He doesn't have the speed or strength he once did, but he plays like he thinks he does. He still has something in him, but he overplays himself and so it looks like he just sucks now. If he doesn't figure that out soon, he'll be gone from the Packers and maybe even sent into early forced retirement.

He got old, he should have retired years ago. It's kind of sad to see such a good player who is just terrible now. Plus the packers just suck as a team right now.

honestly, i think his unorthodox style of flinging the ball is now hurting his accuracy. he needs to retire and go into broadcasting, just like all other retired football players. I'm sure that the NFL Network is hiring!

He does seem to be just a fraction of a second behind on everything. Although some of his passes were dropped..a lot of them were behind the receiver or just too late. It is still early though.
