This particular combination of black leather and red looks a bit cheap, especially if the skirt is mini! I think black and red can be wonderful together in more elegant combinations, like a cocktail black dress with a red scarf, a black shorts bikini with a red belt, a black handbag with red details, a black pearl bracelet with rubies... (!)

I don't think the problem is black and red together. The problem is what fabric is the red blouse? If the blouse looks cheap then it won't look good. If the blouse looks more expensive then it will be fine.

Black goes with anything! Black and red seem punky in the wrong outfits, and that's probably what you read. But, that outfit sounds gorgeous if the skirt is knee length, and real leather!! I'll bet you'll look lovely in it!

Black does gowith each little thing and in case you get crimson you cant positioned on a blue blouse with that outfit(colour clashing) so i might pick black till you're prepared to co-ordinate your outfit whenever you positioned on them..

Mm, I think black and red can definitely be a no no... It would work in some cases, but definitely not all. Can look a bit 80s.
