As much as Kenseth is having a great season, I don't want to call it... We still have California and Richmond coming up, and with the current points, it's close between the number one and two spot. He's still seven points behind Jimmie Johnson, so those two can run neck and neck for the rest of the season. Kenseth is also 314 points ahead of third place Kevin Harvick right now. I'd say it's still anyone's game. Regardless though Kenseth and Johnson are officially at war.

in the beginning, shame on Nascar if sponsors have any say in how issues are executed. The 2003 season grew to become into easily the catalyst for the substitute. Kenseth's season grew to become into the two the inducement for the assumption or grew to become into the justification for imposing the assumption. If grew to become into Matt, i may well be proud. He had the style of dominating season that he compelled Nascar to alter the championship shape. And make no mistake - he had a dominating season. He basically had the only win yet he ran wonderful week in and week out. in any different case, how might one construction up a 4 hundred pt lead?

Harvick is the hot driver right now. Don't forget, his worst finish since the beginning of July is 11th. With the exception of 2004 and 2005 when RCR's cars were all down, Harvick's strongest time of year is now. And in 2003, most people forget, Kensth faded bady at the end and Harvick was right there until a couple of bad breaks took Harvick out of strong runs. Harvick is the best pure driver of the top 3.
Johnson is dominant at Lowe's, and very good at Martinsville. Harvick has won at both Atlanta and Phoenix, is the strongest of the top 3 at plate races, and Kenseth is the most even driver of the three. Harvick is the best pure driver, like I have said (this weekend should have shown something). But anyways, I don't feel the Chase suits guys like JJ and Kenseth like the 36 race season title would. Harvick and Kyle Busch are my favorites going in.

IMO, it's going to be between Matt and Jimmie Johnson. I was so sure that nobody could beat Jimmie but Matt's team has fired up and are coming in for the kill...that team is on a role. Matt has a great chance of winning the Cup championship this year.

well i wish i could say no and say Mark Martin is going to win it all but he's chances are looking slim and slim each and ever race he goes at. Don't get me wrong I'm one of his biggest fan but i don't know what's his deal is i wish he would "run" some people in the wall to get more points or something it seams that Matt Kenseth and his pit crew boys will get it done yet another year. So i would say MATT

Hmm...well I think he's got a great chance, I'll say that much. I really don't like either Johnson or Kenseth, but it's gotta be one of the two. Although, it would be fun to see an upset (as long as it's not Jeff Gordon :-P).
I think it's too early to say still...

Personally I would rather see Matt win it than Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, or Jeff Gordon. I'm tired of seeing them win everything all the time. Though if I had my way Kasey Kahne would win it, but he has to make it into the chase first.

He has a good chance, but I would hate to see him win. I'm hoping Mark Martin can get it together and win the championship. I'm a Tony Stewart fan, but I want to see Mark win it in (supposedly) his last full year in cup. He deserves it.
