when the moon is low in the horizon, same wtih the sun during sunset, the light has to travel through more atmosphere thus the light is refracted into many different colors.
because red and orange wavelength of light are longer than blue and yellow, they travel slower, and don't get easily refracted while traveling through the atmosphere.
also if there is a lot of pollution in the sky, this will disperse the light even more.

For the same reason the sky on a sunny day appears blue. All light is refracted through our atmosphere except for a particular wavelength, and whatever gets directly to our eyes is its "color". If you're in space, the moon doesn't appear orange or red because you're not viewing it through our atmospheric filter. What you see on Earth when the moon DOES appear orange or red is a reflection of the sun's own light upon it, almost a reverse eclipse.

because that's the color of the retina of a human eye. orange/red. next time u go to a check up, ask your doctor to let u look in his eyeball and you'll see.
so it's just reflecting off the moon, if that makes any sense

My expensive X Y; particularly? in accordance to the creation variety of Origins, the moon could have been pelted with meterorites alongside with the earth as a partial mechanism for the Flood. in case you have been to invite an Antediluvian (e.g., Seth, Enoch, Methusalah, Noah, Shem, etc.) on the subject of the visual attraction of the moon, the variety predicts their reaction to be "It particular has replaced seeing that in the previous the super Flood!" The moonlight has to go through the atmosphere to get to your eye. If it's near the horizon, it goes through a lot of atmosphere. In some places, it goes through a lot of smog. In clear air and outside the atmosphere, it's not orange/red.
