I leave it open, I'm always afraid I'll miss something. If I hear my dad coming, I reach over and shut it, his bathroom is pretty small. Plus I like to be able to call out to my husband if I run out of toilet paper or want a new panty to put on.

I think most of the time those "vents" are really just fans in the ceiling it doesn't actually vent out anywhere like outside or anything. So it is really just moving the smell around in the room though it does help circulate the air and will get rid of it faster. The best thing to do would be to leave the door open and the fan on. Or just leave the door open it is most likely the best and fastest way to reduce the smell.

I leave it open if no one is in the house,becuz somebody might knock on the door and I can't hear, them that's all

i guess it doesnt matter right
its kind of a habbit to close it
but if i reaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllly gotta go
and i know that no1 is home i just hurry up and go in there
and i dont close it cuz for all i know i might go on myself

at home my bathroom door locks when shut, so we go with it open a crack regardless of who's there!

open. thats the point of having the door-to close it so noone can see you. when you are alone you have noone to watch you do your thing.

Even when no one is home...still close it. never thought about it before. Guess it is a habit! lol
