So strange. I worked in a copy center for a facility that did some research and came across some scientific papers discussing replication of cells. This was before 1979. I thought it would be cool to raise myself. I still think it would be cool, because even if this is an exact cellular copy of me, she would still be her own complete individual.
Sounds strange, but I think I would be able to give her what I felt I missed in life. She would not be me because a lot of what made me who I am today would not be in her life. I already know what medical conditions she would have and treatment and preventative action could be started earlier. Most of my problems are not genetic, they are environmental.
Only problem - I might not live to see her reach adulthood. I wouldn't have dozens of me, just one. Good question, brought back some interesting memories.

"You" wouldn't go on for thousands of years, just your DNA. You would still die yoour normal death, since the person YOU are is not created by merely the DNA, but also the environment you were raised in. Your parents raised you, you didn't. You grew up in a unique time in history, different from a clone...
And if you "tweak yourself" meaning the clone, you are only tweaking another human being.
And no, I would hate to raise "myself" and sacrifice the unique DNA structure that is me.

Firstly, it never cross my mind to clone myself, and secondly, i dont think i want to raise my cloned self because, 'she' will definitely be ME...which i dont want 'her' to be. I think the initial reason why cloning is an issue was because one particular individual wanted to re-create himself (minus the weaknesses). So, if i raise my cloned self, i will only instill or plant the culture im familiar with and towards the end, my cloned self will be ME again. Whats the point in cloning?

I would not clone myself because of all the disabilities I have and I wouldn't want another one of me to suffer. Have a great week.

It would be neat to have a clone to do all the housework I don't like to do. But, I wouldnt want to raise it.

No, I think cloning is gross, besides the fact that a human cannot re-create a soul.
