Howie Mandell asked the same question during one of his past standup shows. Some woman shouted out "because it's better". "Better for what", he replied. I believe it directly pertains to women who have small or no hips, and they think by crossing they're going to miraculously widen. When you got, it you got it and you don't have to try hard to have an hour glass, but when you don't just deal with it.

Hmm... Maybe it does have to do with primitive instincts, where a woman with wide hips is considered fertile and thus attractive... When I do it though, it is usually because I'm tired of standing and there is no place to sit.

It's just a comfortable position to stand in. And it really has nothing to do with how wide my hips are (which, are small), but I have no preconceived notion that crossing my legs when I stand will change that.

I have no particular reason way b/c I do that all the time. Most of the time, it's just an easier way for me to stand up when I'm at work all the time. Plus, it's a habbit of mine.

some ladies cross their legs when standing..and thats because they want too...
i havent realize but i guess i mostly cross my legs when sitting.
but yeah, its just because i dont believe girls would cross their legs to make their hips look bigger or anything in that nature..
i'd say... its a girl thing!

It's body language. If a woman is crossing her legs while standing and is talking to you the message is "No Way."

sometimes we gotta pee lmao. It's a posture thing we don't even realize we do. It's not about hips, I got those and still do it sometimes.
