I 100% agree with "free2praise76!" I am 30 years old and I cannot wear leggings. OMG! My 15 year old niece had on leggings a week ago, with a long tee and big belt. She looked adorable. I was an 80's kid and I would like to leave that era behind me. Here's what I do. I wear very classic pieces and each season purchase a few trendy items to give it an updated look.

Well gee this is sooo very important that I am all in a tizzy! I say go retro; back to the 1959 beatnik look--no bra, dress all in black, including leotards/leggings, black ballet shoes. Wear black eye shadow ( lots) and patchouli, and carry around old books by Proust and Stendhal. Henna your hair if you like. Your new look should intrigue the heck out of people who don't really know you..they will figure you for a real intellectual!

Wear a short, tiered peasant skirt with leggings and a tank top.
Wear a long skirt with a long sleeveless, collared top and a thin stretchy long sleeved top undernesth and wear a belt.
Wear simple brown leather sandals. Flat sandals are in style and will soon be everywhere.
Man clothes are in style. Get pinstriped trousers-capri length, so they look feminine-and wear them with frilly silk blouses. Wear ballet slipper inspired shoes.

I agree. In my fashion blog, I talked about how much I hate this look. Ignore the trend, and just take key in other things. Do your own thing, but add leopard accessories. Read my blog if you want. Link is on my pro.
