long story shorty, I was trying to remember where my entertainment center lined up on the wall so my dad wouldn't know I moved it (he doesn't like me messing w/it, tv expensive) so I used some tape (clear, I was dumb) and a marker to put on the wall, but when I pull the tape away I see I accidentally marked part of the wall------how do I get rid of this Sharpie (permanent marker) mark??

I have a semi-believable excuse of why I was marking the wall in the first place, but I'd rather have it removed (MOM gets home 2:30-3, dad 3:30+ ......mom very observant (well green on white, not hard to miss), but not as mad --so need this before dad gets home)

Yahoo says I have to wait 4 hours, but I'l just say thank you to everyone for responding so fast, but I think Ray will be getting the best answer. I tired my fingernail first, then a little screw-driver that ends in a pick-like point, I didn't even need to re-touch it be cause it's hardly noticable if you're not looking for it (it was ~1inch to begin with anyway). I put a dab of bleach-pen after just to be sure. Thanks again everyone

Scrape it off and then spot paint.

See if your mom has one of the "magic eraser" things by Mr. Clean... It might work. Be careful with cleaners though. Some stuff will take off the paint. Try any cleaners in a place that would not be noticed!! Good luck..

The white out might work for now!! Good idea

Nail polish remover. This will change the paint a bit, so you have to work fast on it. Have a wet soapy washcloth on hand to dab away the excess. Keep working till it fades. Also try Pine Sol or some other lemon or orange based household cleanser. Again, try not to rub the paint much, wash away the excess.

You should probably just tell on yourself though.

Good luck!

Any chemical that removes sharpie will probably also remove the paint. If I were you I would wait until your mom comes home, confess, and ask for her help. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser MIGHT work.

A damp Mr. Clean eraser will take it right off, if you don't have one try a pencil eraser, it will at least fade it. GOOD LUCK!
