yes you are right. i also observed some answers which are to be given by experts in the relevant field are given by some people without knowing ABC's of that subject. those people's platform is chatting and i feel the very purpose of getting answers from real people will be defeated and it prevents the people who want to enrich their knowledge posting serious questions. as a result they post silly questions like what did you eat today?there are several reasons for giving irrelevant answers. 1.inferiority complex 2.sadistic mentality 3.exhibitionism. people suffer from inferiority complex give irrelevant answers to make others believe that they are omniscients.2.people having sadistic mentality give answers which hurt the heart of the person who posted serious questions, and they get immense pleasure 3.as the society prohibited exhibition of private parts in public, people having exhibitionist tendency give vulgar, obscene answers to any question. thanks to carlomusic for his keen observation that i did not give any scientific explanation but made a statement only.

Well, we all feel we have some "advice" to share, from our own lives, and usually we're not aware of what we don't know (or what we're incorrect about) until we post it and someone challenges it.
So some people are being irresponsible w/ their posts; others really are trying to be helpful but do not really understand the question well.
I don't even think a degree ensures anything. My wife got a psychology degree but only as a stepping stone to a teaching certificate, and she doesn't usually think in terms of psych at all.
Meanwhile, I have an English degree, but I'm very interested in psychology and how/why people act the way they do, and have some good insight into people's behavior (well, I think I do, anyway :) ).
Just chalk it up as par for the course, and learn to discern which answers made bad assumptions or did not consider all the real possibilities.
[Psych is a "soft" science, so it involves tangible data collection along with structured/logical intuition.]

Psychology is NOT irrelevant, and as a psych major I take offense to that, but in a nut shell people....ignorant people, feel that way. The only reason someone would say psych is irrelevent is because they're not smart enough to understand it. Afterall...psychology is mostly composed of hypothetical structure!lol!

well... while i strongly dislike the posts that say things like "i dont know" or simply "thanks for the 2 points", I think everyone has a right to post whatever they like, within the rules of course...
if you wanted only opinions of psychologists, you might be better off seeking out professionals IRL rather than asking on yahoo...
I cant speak for all the people who post, but I usually try my best to answer questions that i feel i know something about...

human beings ought to decide for a maximum suitable answer and qualify their decision interior the reviews area. i think of a few human beings ask such countless questions they each and every so often forget to maintain on with by. it would be extreme-high quality if the YA pc application ought to straight away generate a reminder. it would help lots do no longer you think of? some human beings are fairly no longer soliciting for objective solutions. they decide for validation. Out of paranoia or and an unwillingness to think approximately different critiques, those types are consistently going to %. the respond that maximum resembles their very very own perspectives.

"Ok evelyn!
I'll share my opinion.
First, everybody has relevant knowledge in psychology.
There are 6,840,000,000 people living on earth now. Each one of them has a slightly different, significant story to tell. Please don't deny them that.
Secondly, differentiation alone will suffice to provide reason to reply to your question without shame, regardless whether the answer is more or less provocative.
To me, everyone has something else to add to the history. Sometimes it's based on feelings, sometimes with considerable thought; therefore, as a result, we have opportunities to entrench all the philosophy with slightly new ideas ... probably forever ... which means we have gains to make invested in a contract with future beings of our own creation to answer with them."
