the amd would win over that.. but if its the pent d 2.88 controe eg the dual core x2 the intel would win.

If i were you, I'd get the pentium D because it is dual core, lasts longer than AMD processors, and is way faster and more affordable. AMD is way too expensive and slow, but that's only if you have experienced pentium D. Also, dual core means 2 processors combined together.

Just spend $25 more, and get the Athlon 64 3700, which is 2.2 Ghz and has a 1MB L2 cache (and overclocks like crazy), or $33 more, and get the 3800, which is 2.4 Ghz, if you aren't an overclocker.

i have AMD64 3000+ its really cool.was using it for4 months good performence and its cheap
