Things to look for in a webcam: 1) most important is resolution, make sure it will do 640x480 2) fps, or frames per second; make sure it will do 30 fps, no less 3) compatibilty; make sure that it has a driver for the operating system you'll be using it with

1 needs to be usb 2.0
2. the most thing on webcams is FPS ( frames per second ) the greater the number the better average webcam is 25-30fps, so that means its take 25-30 pictures
3. focal size how much the webcam can see.
