I haven't done much research as yet but am looking right here on Yahoo. On the Yahoo home page, on the right hand side, under Small Business, you'll see Web Hosting.
Yahoo provides all the tools you'll need and your website will be housed on their servers. You can change things any time you wish and it's only about $12 a month.
Take a peek. If nothing else it will give you a little more insight.
Hope this helps.

well do you want to do with it, you can get free web sites or rather free web space when i first started my web site i used a free website but i found it bad you don't get the name you want so you don't listed in search engines.
I would recommend you getting a domain name and web hosting and pay for it you will get what you want on your web pages and not alot of banners which how the free ones make their money.
i brought my domain name and hosting about 6 months ago and I'm now number 1 in some search engines and you will also need a FTP program that will up load your files to your site.
There r lots of web site that offer good deals but where are you the only ones i know are the one UK related websites so do a search on web hosting and you will find the right 1 for you somewhere.

Hey,
You are not going to believe this…but you need to!
I just checked out Matt Callens incredible software called
HyperVRE, and this could be the first time that I have used
a free software more than I do my other paid apps.
Matt told me I could let a few people know about the site before
he starts charging for the product, and I had to tell you about this. :-)

While I could go on and on about the features and how they have
befefited my business, I think you really need to see for yourself
what this software really can do.
For now - he is giving this software away for free, so there is no risk. But you need to hurry before there is a hefty one-time payment.

It depends what kind of web site you want, and what features you need. Really good hosting is available for less than $10 per month. Free hosting is available for home pages or blogs.

You can do a search on Yahoo and get a huge list of hosting providers who give out free webhosting. www.homestead.com is one of them. You can always get it hosted on Yahoo or Godaddy.com for as cheap as 3-4 USD/month then you can have your own domain name as well. Most of these companies provide easy website creation tools.

That depends on what you want.
If you want something hosted through some other company, usually with banners/ads, you can go to www.geocities.com, or http://pages.google.com, or even a blog from, say, www.blogger.com.
However, if you want your OWN site with no ads, you'll have to pay. My suggestion is to go to www.godaddy.com, becuase they have super cheap hosting, and it's really reliable, i've had my site running smoothly with them for months.

It really does depend as many have said, on what you plan on doing.
I think they have covered them all research and pick the best and leave the rest.
