I would say that if you haven't worn any protection or used any birth control methods, that maybe you and your fiance, should both get checked for fertility. It will be better than not knowing and waiting before it is too late. And not being married has nothing to do with this topic, to whomever said to "get married, because a child deserves a stable home"(not word for word). As long as a child is raised in a loving home, married or not, it doesn't matter. Getting married doesn't solve all problems, so that made entirely no sense.

Well I was with my Boyfriend for 3 years. never on birth control and never used condoms. We always used the "pull out" method. Well I kind of had the same idea maybe one of us were infertile too, well here I am 6 months pregnant so I guess I proved myself wrong. I think when it's meant to be it will happen. If you really are worried go see your Dr. but it just happens at different times for everyone and sometimes when you least expect it. Good Luck!

sometimes it can just take a while. Go talk to your doctor or community nurse about advice and the best times in your cycle to try for a baby.
It's a complicated process getting pregnant and maybe your just not having sex around the time when you are the most fertile.

I don't see why people always resort to their doctor. Your doctor will tell you the same thing... if you want to do it naturally you can get fertility tests (ovulation tests) or if you want to do it medically... we can go that direction (sigh, I don't recommend this way I recommend adoption). I agree with the first answer too.. your time will come to have a baby with some people it happens young but I always thought that having a baby when your older is the more mature way to go. Only you knows you... good luck with your baby when it happens

First of all you need to be responsible and decide if you are ready to try or not. If you are ready then see your gyn for a pre-conception visit and start taking prenatal vitamins. If you aren't ready to try then start using some form of birth control. The definition of infertility is not being able to conceive after 1 year of unprotected intercourse.

The average person will get pregnant in a year without using birth control. I would suggest you see an OB/GYN and have this matter checked out. There could be many reasons why you are not getting pregnant, like a vaginal infection.

if youre worried you can get a fertell test from boots fairly pricey but discreet. i think you just send off some samples and wait for the results. but don't worry too much as it does sometimes take a few years to get pregnant. if you want to check when u ovulate get some pee sticks, as not everyone ovulates on day 14! they moved my due date according to my 11 weeks scan even though i knew my dates, so i ovulate on day 22 so if you are subconsciously thinking about it then just admit it, do u're tests and really go for it!
