EVER heard of this MOVIE???

Question

My cousin claimed she saw a movie about a family, the mother died and she became a banshee, and if you heard her scream you became a banshee, then the banshee mom screamed at her old husband and he became a banshee and they had banshee children, has anyone ever heard of a movie anything like this?? She claimes it was called "the scream of the banshee" or something like that.

Not on the lines of that but I have seen a movie that has a banshee she terroizes these college kids who crashed her crib so she got even. Now it's kind of corny but it scared the shlt out of me when I was a kid. The name was the Unnamable and they even made a sequel.

The Call of the Banshee.*

‘Tis the call of the Auld Banshee’ she said.
‘To tell us that someone who’s dear is dead’.
She crossed herself and bowed her head,
Then wandered off slowly to her lonely bed.

As she brushed her hair by the candlelight,
Her mind wandered back to the very first night,

There was a movie called "Cry of the Banshee" in early 70s. But it had more to do with werewolves and witches, than with Banchee's. The closest movie that I can think of that comes close to your friends descrition is Darby O'Gill and the Little People, a Disney movie, complete with Banshee and star sean connery.

Only in the 70's would they ever make a movie like this. I think it is called "Cry of the Banshee". Now, if it did star Vincet Price, then that is understandable. But, there was also Christopher Lee who was a horror maven himself back in the 70's. So, it could have starred either or. But, then again, I saw Joan Collins in "Empire of the Ants" and William Shatner in a movie about revengeful spiders, I think it was called "Silk" (not sure). All from that great, cheesy decade.

Cry of the Banshee was a movie from early in the 70s with Vincent Price. But the plot you describe wasn't what this movie was about.
