if they r in the same box, then just take a black wire to the same color post as the one that is hot now, and a white wire to the same color post as the one that is not.....this is called a pig tail .......if new outlet is not in the same box, after installing wire from new outlet to old outlet, take black wire off of hot outlet and wire nut the 2 blacks together with a third pig tail black, attach the pig tail back to the old outlet on the same screw it came off of...do the same to the white wire....connect the grounds and ur done......be sure u cut off and test the power is off before starting......

maybe you should install a panic room a fallout shelter and live in fear for the rest of your life that someone is going to invade your private home . If youre going to do anything then secure the house from anyone being able to gain access to your home and valuables , like video surveillance and home security system that is monitored 24 hours a day by a reputable alarm company. geeeez !!!

Call an electrician.
Most electrical modification in your home needs to be certified by a master electrician.
besides, if you don't know what you are doing, you could get seriously injured.
