There are a million different forms of "chat." You need to be more specific. If you are talking about IRC, then you need to be a channel op (the people with @ next to their nick) The operations are "kick" and "ban."

It is easier if you have a bot that has op privileges because then you can just send a command to the bot and it will do it for you.

There should be a moderator--if there is, approach him/her with legitimate reasons for getting rid of the offending party. If there is no moderator, or if he/she pays no attention, it's time to find another chat group. B.

You can't- hit the ignore button and you won't see them anymore.

all you have to do is click on their name and click ignore and you won't see anything they say
