For those of you who don't know, Kitson is a high end trendy boutique on Robertson Blvd in West LA. Young celebs like to shop there. They sell things like campy tank tops for $80. It's like Urban Outfitters for the filthy rich.

If a 14-yr-old can raise the money to shop there herself, then go for it. However, no parent in their right mind should ever spoil their daughters with that kind of nonsense. It breeds materialism. Besides, the stuff goes out of style quickly, and she'll outgrow it in less than a semester anyway.

As for Juicy Couture, again, it's overpriced. $90 for a pair of velour track pants? ppblt! Waste of money. But they mostly sell things like hoodies with matching track pants, or gym shorts. It's a designer label, but on workout clothes not meant to be worked in. Other than making really short shorts, the rest of their stuff really isn't too scandalous.

I think it's fine if the parents are ohkay with it, but I do think it's a little too old for kids that age. I know, I'm fourteen. I have a few designer items, but I'm not draped in designer clothes every day. I think it's better to have a few des. items at this age.

kids are a product of our environment ,they see paris hilton or whoever or see what other kids are wearing and want to be just like them,if your kid is not old enough to get a job then the kid isn't old enough to buy expensive clothes. If your daughter wants expensive up to date clothes you should absolutely say no ,if she saves her allowance and works toward an out fit then thats an exception.

I'd say it is up to the 14-yr old's parents. My kid wouldn't be.
