Well, I work for a homless shelter in Montreal and most of time we are dependant on donations of food from the public, and businesses, like retaurant owners. On Sunday, we got a HUGE donation from the powers that be that run the Grand Prix circut that was held here in Montreal. Well Sunday was not a good day for the races because we were hit by a down pour of rain for like 5 hours and not too many spectators showed up. So we got a donation from them of over 1000 fresh lobster. To see these guys show up for dinner yesterday (Monday) and we had two lobsters each and a 8 oz rib eye steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes.....ready for them........well it was a sight to see.
I just want to say that I hate it when people pick on and humiliate the homeless because those types of people really don't understand that 88% of the population is ONE PAYCHECK away from being homeless them selves.

My schedule is very, very flexible. I can take off early whenever I decide or work from home (although I choose not to bring work home). I also can take extended lunch time. This is the only good thing about my job and what keeps me here.

I'm a telecommuter. It's awesome. It's like having my cake and eating it too. Besides the money I save on gas and cafeteria food, I get to see my kids off to school, be there when they get home, have dinner ready, and work out on my lunch break and get as sweaty as I want to.

I can listen to music all day while I work and no one is standing over my shoulder checking to see if I'm getting my work done.

I can come and go as I please, work if I want and don't work if I don't want to, I can basically do what ever I want at work and get paid!
Oh did I mention, my boss is my boyfriend!
